What Is The NYS Clean Heat Program?
The NYS Clean Heat Program is a voluntary, comprehensive program that helps homeowners and businesses reduce their energy use and emissions by installing more energy efficient heating and cooling systems. It promotes the use of energy-efficient heating and cooling systems in homes, businesses, and multifamily buildings to reduce energy consumption and cut greenhouse gas emissions.
This program encourages residents, small businesses, and commercial and multifamily building owners to install cold climate air source heat pumps (ASHP) and heat pump water heaters (HPWH). It offers rebates through local electric utilities for installation of high efficiency heat pumps, and incentives for the installation of solar hot water heaters.
